RULES

1. Be literate.
I don’t expect an essay every response, but I don’t enjoy one sentence replies. Put forth the effort to keep the story going and I will do the same.

2. Don't be dry.
Although this coincides with the first rule, it still needs to be said. When communicating outside of writing, please don't hit me with really short replies. I love to talk ooc and develop positive relationships with my writing partners, but that isn't possible if they don't contribute to the conversation. If I get a one worded response I feel as if the other person isn't as invested in the conversation, and I struggle to carry it on my own without feeling as if I'm being a nuisance. I don't expect you to type paragraph upon paragraph when we talk, but I would like to be able to have pleasant conversations and share ideas freely.

3. Be an adult.
I will only write with those above the age of eighteen. That isn't to say that I intend to cover inappropriate or sexual topics, but rather that I have a strong preference to write with people of my relative age.

4. Use realistic references.
This isn’t an ultimatum, but I do prefer that you have realistic faceclaims for your characters. It’s easier for me to visualize that way, but I understand how it can be difficult finding real people to represent concepts you’ve created in your head. I would prefer you provide me with at least one realistic reference image, but honestly a good description or quality art works too.

5. Write in third person.
I vastly prefer both parties write in third person, as I find that first person can be limited in its perspective and oftentimes awkward.

6. Don’t control my character.
This is a personal preference, as I don’t like when others decide the actions of who I am writing for. If it is something small like waiting for someone to get into a car, that is perfectly alright. However, fair warning, I do often use my partner’s character in my response. Nothing controlling, of course, just descriptions of their appearance in the eyes of my character, a recap of their actions, and how those actions are perceived. I will never write for you, but rather about you.

7. Contribute.
I expect ideas to come from both parties in order to create a storyline that everyone is interested in. Everyone is allowed to be indecisive from time to time, just don’t answer every question with “I don’t know” or “Your choice”.

8. Keep it civil.
To put it simply, please be nice. I expect to be treated respectfully, and I do have a preference to develop positive relationships with my roleplay partners. I prefer writing with people that I consider to be friends, as it creates a more casual environment that encourages creativity rather than stifling it. Plus, what can I say? I’m a casual person, I like making friends. Voice your opinions and contribute, but don’t be outwardly rude or disrespectful.

9. Be patient.
I have a life outside of writing so my activity may be inconsistent. I won’t be online every single day, so don’t expect that or get cross with me when I take my time getting back to you. Be patient with me, and I will do the same for you.

10. Respect my limitations.
I am not okay with actively roleplaying anything involving extreme gore, sexual assault, pedophilia, incest, beastiality, abusive relationships, self harm, or suicide. I’m okay with these topics being in the past of a character, I just don’t want to actively write through any scenes of that nature. An example of this is that I’d be alright with a character having experienced abuse in the past, but I’d never want to actively write through my character abusing or victimizing their partner.

11. MxF and FxF only.
Due to many poor past experiences, I am no longer comfortable writing MxM pairs. I do apologize if that’s a let down, but I am not likely to make exceptions. I will state that MxF is my preference, but I don’t mind doing the occasional FxF pair either. However, I have to be interested.

INFORMATION

1. Fandoms.
I am okay with both fandom and non fandom based roleplays. I’m not actively a part of many fandoms, but there are still plenty I enjoy quietly from both the past and present.

• Marvel/MCU
• Harry Potter
• Avatar The Last Airbender
• Legend of Korra
• Pokémon
• Some of the DCEU
• Spiderverse
• Euphoria
• The Boys
• Arcane
• The Owl House

• Studio Ghibli
• Adventure Time/Fiona and Cake
• Hazbin Hotel
• Total Drama
• Fallout (tv series)
• Monster High
• Ever After High
• The Last of Us (tv series)
• Criminal Minds
• Disney

• Likely more that I’m forgetting
ㅤㅤ

Don’t be afraid to ask. I'm not against picking up a new show/movie.

2. Canon characters.I vastly prefer writing for my own original characters, but there are certain canon pairs I would be interested in writing. Note that I will not write for strictly male canons, although I am not against the concept of doubling up. My portrayals may not be perfect, but I am always receptive to constructive criticism.

3. Multiple characters.
If writing for one of my original characters, it’s likely that other minor characters will have cameos. I have created a sizable community of characters over the years that often interact on a daily basis and will likely, at the very least, get mentioned from time to time.

4. Gender preference.
I don’t have an incredibly strong gender preference, but I will say now that I have become increasingly burnt out of only writing for my male/masculine characters. There are still plenty of my male characters that I would have an interest in writing for, but I'm more selective now about the ones I'd like to utilize due to previous overuse.

5. Diversity.
This may seem odd, but if you want to write with me I request that you don’t exclusively take an interest in my white characters. I don’t mind representing my male characters more, but if you only want me to write for white men I’m likely to be less open to the idea of writing together long term. I have no issues over what groups of people you choose to represent within your own work, but I have grown increasingly burnt out of only writing white men. I have created a variety of characters for a reason, and as a minority I don’t want to only highlight white men within my writing.

6. Genres.
My preferred genre for roleplaying is romance, but I’m not against adding different elements into a story to keep things interesting.

7. Plots.
Story wise, it is my own personal preference that we build a plot together instead of selecting one that has already been predetermined. Generally, I prefer to decide upon characters first and then shape a plot around the pairing. I struggle to create characters on the spot, but of course I don't mind if you have that preference yourself. If you come to me with a predetermined plot already in mind, I have nothing against listening and seeing what we can make work.

8. Settings.
As far as settings go, I often prefer stories that take place in the modern world as that is where most of my experience lies. I am not averse to experimenting with time period or location, but once more, I would need to be genuinely interested in the plot or characters. I try my best to be lenient and able to go with the flow for the sake of a good story, so please don't be discouraged.

9. Time zones.
Presently, I live in the United States and am on Eastern Standard time. Personally I don't mind if my time zone doesn't align with a potential writing partner, but I understand if that's a reservation you may have.
